It is owned by Stan Gollaher and his wife, Kathy. Stan is a master furniture
builder with 35 years of experience. Kathy has been helping Stan with design,
finish work and business management over the years. Their son, Joel is now
apprenticing with his father.
Most of the furniture is made of Koa wood, a hardwood endemic to the Hawaiian
Islands. Stan uses other Hawaiian woods such as Mango and Norfolk Pine. In
addition, he builds furniture out of many other, more familiar hardwoods.
Stan designs furniture to the client’s wishes. If the client has a photo or picture of
something they like, Stan can build the furniture from the picture or make

Our policy is to ask for a nonrefundable security deposit ( usually 5% of the total price of the
order) to hold the building time allotment open. When it comes time to build the furniture, we
request 45% of the price to begin work. The balance is due upon delivery on the Big Island or
